Origin Coffee - The Coffees.

Origin Coffee would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all customers and suppliers who helped make the ‘Pudsey Puddle’ Latte a great success in helping to raise money for this year’s BBC Children In Need appeal.
Their generosity in sending donations from the proceeds raised by serving this one-off drink will help positively change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.
As Tom Sobey, Director of Origin suggests:
'Origin Coffee were delighted to help raise money for this years Children In Need Appeal. We are especially proud of those customers who took the time and effort to get involved with the Pudsey Puddle and their generosity in donating proceeds from the sales of the drink to this worthy charity'
The Pudsey Puddle was the brainchild of Ruth Sparkes, PR manager at Cornwall College who was keen to create awareness for National College’s Week by raising money for this great cause.
Ruth said:
“…I really wanted to tie in what Cornwall College offers with raising money for Children in Need. We work closely with the guys at Origin, they help deliver the City & Guilds course in Barista training and I knew that they would come up with the perfect recipe to put the Pudsey Puddle on the speciality coffee map.”

The BBC at Origin…
BBC Spotlight presenter, Victoria Graham and Children in Need’s Pudsey Bear spent a chilly November morning before the big day with Origin Barista Trainer and UK Latte Art Champion, Phil Gevaux learning how to make Pudsey’s signature drink.
Phil put both Victoria and Pudsey through their paces, explaining the coffee making process, the skills required and the importance of fresh, expertly roasted coffee. The result was a fantastic signature drink which looked as good as it tasted, Pudsey was delighted, he polished off his personalised drink with one ‘glug’ and gave his approval with a double ‘thumbs up!’

Pudsey Puddle Lattes were available throughout the whole of the Southwest – from Exeter to Penzance and beyond. Customers really went all out in adding the Pudsey Puddle to their menu – from the Pudsey Puddle chalk boards at De Wynns in Falmouth to donations at Yellow Canary in St Ives - all contributions will go a long way in helping disadvantaged young people in the UK.
Thank you!
