  • Founded in 2010 by Meseret Workneh and her husband, Abrahim Menigistu, Primrose is a leading Ethiopian coffee exporter with a focus on quality, sustainability, and empowerment. Meseret, who grew up on a coffee farm and has over 28 years of experience, is renowned for her influence in the specialty coffee world. As a Q Grader and AST, she ensures that Primrose sets the highest standards in both production and post-harvest processes.

Our Aricha Wubanchi coffee is a shining example of this dedication. Named after both the Aricha region and a young girl, Wubanchi, whom Meseret and Abrahim took under their wing, this fully washed microlot is sourced from 1,700 local smallholder farmers in Yirgacheffe. Grown at 2,213masl, this heirloom variety thrives in traditional, organic-by-default farming systems, maximizing the land's use while preserving its natural health.
