Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee and is home to one of the most unique ways in which it is traded. The Harfusa Cooperative is comprised of 843 smallholder producers and sits alongside over twenty others as part of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union. This system of cooperatives coming together means that smallholder producers can pool their resources to enrich their end of the chain. This leads to an increased crop quality while ensuring a more equitable share in the industry’s success.

Yirgacheffe is one of the most famous coffee growing regions of Ethiopia and holds a distinct flavour profile; something that is floral, tea-like, with citric notes. This coffee from the Harfusa cooperative has roots in the Yirgacheffe profile but leans to a tea-like delicacy. This unique expression can be traced to the farmers of Harfusa and the incredible terroir of their farms.

Brew Recipes

Roast days are Tuesdays and Fridays. All orders placed by midnight the day before will be sent out first-class on the roast day.
