Pathfinder is roasted to highlight the incredible terroir of the coffees it contains. We source coffees that are naturally sweet and complex to create a blend that is captivating and interesting. This version features 75% Honduras Cerro Azul & 25% Guatemala La Providencia.

Cerro Azul is owned by our long-time direct trade partners the Nicaraguan Mierisch family. We were looking to grow our network of partners in Honduras due to the country’s dynamic climate for growing speciality coffee. When mentioning this to Erwin Mierisch during his visit to our Roastery in 2015, he talked of his new project in the country’s northern Comayagua region. Nine months later, we cupped at the farm and experienced the results of a talented producer in a new country with incredible terroir.

Guatemala is a hugely respected coffee producing country. The Anzueto family’s La Providencia lives up to this with an interesting and fantastically clean cup; its latitude and high elevation create a cool and damp climate causing slow ripening of the coffee cherries and gradual maturation of flavours. This lot is a blend of the Red Catuai and Caturra varietals producing a familiar and easy-to-drink cup. When blended with the Cerro Azul, a lush body is created that perfectly balances the vibrant notes of Erwin’s new coffee.
