Carlos Pola is one of the long-term direct trade partners who represents the forefront of speciality coffee. Our visits to his family farm in El Salvador are always a highlight of our yearly sourcing trips. When walking the farm together, he stopped constantly to show new innovations and approaches to farming, including tracking his coffees with a QR code
to ensure green buyers and consumers have full traceability while sharing his innate knowledge of the coffee he produces.
Carlos’ focus on creating the perfect ecosystem for his crops and the meticulous care he takes on the farm is apparent in this coffee. Showcasing full, sweet fruit notes with a balanced body and warm, comforting finish. It is a fine example of terroir and expertise coming together to tell a story of the coffee’s journey from plant to cup through its flavour profile.
Espresso: 1:2 coffee to water, extracted in 28-32 secs
Filter: 60-65g coffee per litre of water, brewed for 3-4 mins
Roast & despatch days are currently Monday to Friday. All orders placed after midnight on Thursday will be roasted and dispatched on Monday.
We create a new and unique profile for each coffee we roast. Although the profiles are different, our approach is always the same, to highlight and accentuate the flavours created at the farm and mill. This means we don't label our coffees as espresso, filter, dark or light roast. All of our coffees are omni-roast, meant to be delicious however you brew. We believe the heart of speciality is keeping the identity and character of every coffee intact and alive, no matter the brew method.
