Inside Our Cold Brew Brewery

The opening of our Cold Brew Brewery marks the beginning of a new chapter for Origin. Built as a dedicated space for innovation in coffee, it forms the foundation of a growing range of speciality coffee products, crafted with the same care, transparency and precision that define our core offering. 

Based just down the road from our roastery in Cornwall, the brewery has been purposefully designed to bring cold brew and capsule production in‑house for the first time. By housing grinding, brewing, filtration and packaging together under one roof, we’re able to oversee every stage of production with greater intention. This integrated approach gives us tighter control over quality and flavour, while creating the space to explore new formats and ways of serving and enjoying coffee, without compromising on quality or integrity. 

Our expansion reflects the evolving landscape of how people experience coffee. The demand for quality cold coffee drinks continues to grow, and this new chapter allows us to respond with products that are consistent, versatile and designed for modern service.

Just as importantly, it enables us to do so using speciality coffee that is sourced from producers we believe represent a sustainable, resilient and equitable future for the industry. By bringing production in-house, we’re able to refine taste, reduce unnecessary handling and the footprint it creates, and build more efficient processes from start to finish. The result is a range of solutions that work seamlessly across hospitality and at‑home settings, that truly reflect our values.

The brewery has been equipped with a carefully considered production setup, chosen to prioritise consistency, control and flavour clarity. Using industry‑leading brewing technology, we’re able to manage each stage of extraction with precision, from grinding with the Brambati roller grinder, through to brewing and filtration using the HIVE cold brewing system.

These innovative, highly controlled processes are a technical foundation that supports both quality and scalability, ensuring each batch meets the same standard and expectations of our community.

Our Cold Brew Espresso Concentrate was created to make delivering exceptional speciality coffee simpler, quicker, and more consistent than ever.

A concentrated coffee liquid, it is crafted from a blend of coffees from Brazil and Peru, carefully roasted to express their character, cold brewed to espresso strength and packaged entirely by us. It’s a versatile base designed for modern service: easy to use, reliably delicious, and crafted to deliver a high-quality coffee experience, every time. Served hot or cold, it brings refined flavour in seconds, while helping minimise waste with its ambient‑store format and ready-to-pour functionality available in 500ml pouches or 5l bag-in-box formats.
