Coffee with spirits makes for an incredible cocktail. Here Barista Trainer, Tom Pye, shares his top three coffee cocktails. Perfect for the festive period.
ESPRESSO MARTINI
- 30ml vodka
- 30ml fresh espresso
- 20ml sugar syrup
METHOD
- Add all of the ingredients to a Boston shaker.
- Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with three coffee beans in the centre of the glass.
COFFEE INFUSED CACHACA & COLD BREW
- 30ml coffee infused Cachaca
- 1 lime
- 2 bar spoons white sugar
- Cold brew
METHOD
- Cut a lime and muddle in the glass with the sugar.
- Add the coffee infused Cachaca and stir.
- Top up with cold brew and garnish with lime discs.
CHILLI INFUSED VODKA & COFFEE MARTINI
- 30ml chilli infused vodka
- 30ml fresh filter coffee
- 5ml lime juice
- 15ml sugar syrup
METHOD
- Add all of the ingredients to a Boston shaker.
- Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
- Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
- Garnish with a chilli on the rim of the glass.
