Speciality Coffee Capsules | Home Brewing Tips
Designed for quality and consistency, our speciality coffee capsules make it easy to brew exceptional coffee at home. Here’s how, with a few simple refinements, you can bring out the full character of your coffee, every time.
Capsule Brew Guide
Designed for consistency and ease, our capsules make it simple to enjoy speciality coffee at home with minimal preparation. You’ll need a compatible coffee capsule machine; ours work with all original style Nespresso® machines (excluding Vertuo), as well as a range of other capsule machines. While settings will vary depending on the machine, the below is a typical brewing process for capsules.
- Fill your machine with fresh water and allow it to fully heat up
- Insert your capsule and place your cup below the spout
- Start your brew using your preferred brew mode
- For best results, pre-warm your cup and enjoy immediately after brewing
Brewing Tips
Filtered Water
Water plays a significant role in flavour. Filtered or low-mineral water helps maintain clarity in the cup, while reducing scale build-up in your machine over time.
Coffee Selection
Each coffee in our capsule range has been selected to suit different brewing styles and flavour preferences:
- Três Meninas, Brazil — rounded with chocolate notes, well-suited to milk-based drinks.
- Santa Barbara, Colombia — bright with soft fruit notes, best for black coffee drinkers.
- Atlas Decaf — full-bodied without compromise, versatile and balanced with caramel and chocolate notes.
Perfect Your Milk
Learning to steam milk can help you recreate your coffee shop favourites at home. For guidance on steaming milk, explore our milk steaming journal.
Brewing Equipment
We recommend brewing with high-quality machines such as the Morning Mini and Morning Dream. These machines bring greater control and precision and are designed to preserve flavour and clarity in speciality coffee.
Storage
To maintain freshness and flavour, capsules should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and ideally in an airtight container.
Preheat Your Cup
Preheating your coffee cup allows you to maintain temperature and balance during extraction, while also keeping your coffee warmer for longer after brewing.
Machine Maintenance
Regular cleaning and descaling of your capsule machine helps maintain flavour quality and brewing consistency. Mineral build-up can affect extraction and alter the taste of your coffee over time.
