    High maintenance

    It grinds well and has fine graduations, but the grind settings need experience to get right - they’re nothing like the pre-printed indications. Espresso is generally 4-6, never 1-2. There is much to dislike. It’s messy and frequently jams up, requiring regular clearing, cleaning and banging; otherwise, you get only part of the dose and the next person gets the rest of yours! The finer internal grind setting adjustment is very tight and difficult to use.

    Good choice

    it’s a solid, good looking and not too noisy grinder. There is a bit of retention which requires a couple of start stops to get through but not bad for my use case.

    An Great Addition to my Setup

    Very satisfied with this purchase. Really easy to change between the 41 grind settings, and it grinds so easily and quietly. The anti-static coating reduces mess, and the collecting cup even slots into place using magnets. One star knocked off as there is evidence of coffee grind retention, and as a new purchase I am expecting it will need a fair deal of care and attention after some weeks/months of use. Also well worth buying direct from Origin if they still offer the free coffee subscription alongside the purchase!

    Wonderful grinder, quiet and great quality

    I have just upgraded from a fully manual Rok Presso and grinder to a Bambino Plus and the Fellow Opus, and I am extremely happy with how the grinder performs. I was worried that the electric grinder would be very noisy but it is perfectly manageable, and it doesn't take anywhere near as long as hand grinding so I'd say the noise is less overall.

    Visually, it fits perfectly alongside the Bambino, and they look great together. The grinder is nice and sleek, and the flat top is perfect for keeping dosing cups etc to reduce kitchen clutter.

    The grinder performs really well, and is easy to adjust to dial in, with a really clear dial to show the current setting.

    There can be a little mess from static coffee grinds flying around, but a water spritzer keeps that right down. There is also a fair bit of retention, sometimes 1-2 grams can be left behind, but a gentle tap is enough to get this out, so that the coffee out is 100% of the weight of the beans that went in, and this just becomes part of the routine.

    I am extremely happy with this grinder and would definitely recommend it.
