We’re excited to have opened the doors to our new Euston Road shop this morning, in collaboration with the British Library.
The newly revamped shop on the Euston Road is nestled into the British Library; opposite the shop’s door is a walkthrough to the library’s beautifully tranquil piazza. The interior of the shop, designed by Anna Hart of Hart Miller Design has been influenced by the Library’s interior core materials, creating a bright and inviting space. Pale grey herringbone tiles bounce light and echo the herringbone oak floor.
Pride of place on the bar – expertly crafted by Finest Joinery and the Gentleman Blacksmith – is a three-group Kees Van Der Westen Spirit in crackle black, customised with an illustration by the epically talented Rob Lowe, Supermundane.
As with all our shops, Euston Road is a showcase of our direct trade single origin coffees and regularly rotating features. For launch, pour overs include the last release of our special edition Gesha Village Estate and the delicious Kenyan Hadage. For espresso, our Pathfinder espresso blend – challenging expectations on what a blend can be with its vibrance and complex tropical acidity – and Nicaragua Los Altos from our long term direct trade partners, the impressive Mierisch family.
The tea menu offers a range of speciality teas from Canton Tea Co, including Yellow Gold Oolong and Red Berry & Hibiscus. The focus on quality and provenance is also at the heart of a delicious breakfast and lunch menu – sample menu below.
If you’re in the area, we hope to see you there soon.
