Latte Art Enthusiast Course | Cornwall

We did the Latte art course in Porthleven and had a great time. We started by learning how to correctly dial in the coffee for a perfect espresso. Then moved on to correctly steaming the milk and then trying to make some art.

We had a great afternoon and would recommend to anyone who loves coffee.

Loved using the Marzocco machines too!

I bought an afternoon’s course with Origin for myself and my partners anniversary. We both enjoy our casual coffees at home and wanted to improve our coffee knowledge, with a specific interest in making latte art. And that’s exactly what we achieved today, thanks to Maddie’s help. She was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly, helping us to understand the skills that go into coffee milk art. We came away with lots to practice but both satisfied that we now have the understanding of the basics to improve on! I would however say the course is quite expensive for what it is; the main reason being that, between 4 people, there was only one “at home” style milk frother to teach us with. They have a Sage machine (which is similar to my home one, and one reason I booked this course as could be reliable to transfer my taught skills to my home coffee machine) but it sat broken in the corner. It would be really helpful to have a working “at home” style coffee machine, as was stated when booking, that actually works because between 4 people, there was a lot of waiting around to get the chance to use the milk frother machine and that let that productivity and learning have to be held up which was a real shame, especially with how much we paid for today. Maddie however did the best she could with the equipment she had and allowed us as much time as possible to practice and was a great instructor. Thank you Maddie!
