The Journey of Our Capsules
Our speciality coffee capsule range was relaunched in 2026 with a clear intention: to redefine capsule coffee. Every step, from sourcing and transportation to roasting and packing, has been carefully considered to mark a new chapter in quality, flavour and impact.
Redefining Convenience
The coffee in many capsules is farmed in one country, roasted in another, and ground and packed in an entirely different one. After this, it could spends weeks, sometimes months, moving through distribution chains before reaching the final cup.
We believe that convenience shouldn't compromise quality, sourcing values or brewing experience. Speciality coffee is defined by a number of decisions; how coffee is grown, processed, transported, roasted and brewed, and our capsules preserve the integrity of that journey.
Sourced With Integrity
The coffees in our new capsule range have been selected to reflect the work of producers and partners shaping the future of speciality coffee. From women-led cultivation to regenerative practices and ongoing innovation, each coffee is chosen with intention, resulting in a range that is both varied and rounded in flavour, and grounded in long-term impact.
Três Meninas
A naturally processed Brazilian coffee with a rounded, fruit-led sweetness, Três Meninas was selected for its smooth pairing with milk, delivering a balanced profile with notes of pear and dark chocolate.
Grown in Cerrado Mineiro by Paula and Marcelo Urtado, this family-run farm has developed a regenerative approach that has gained global recognition. Through agroforestry, biodiversity corridors and soil-restoring practices, cultivation is designed to strengthen the wider ecosystem, reportedly capturing more carbon than it emits. While still relatively small in scale, Três Meninas has a learning hub for producers and students worldwide. We are also excited to share that Três Meninas coffee is transported via our Shipped by Sail initiative, which sails coffee from South America to Europe via wind-powered vessels instead of traditional, diesel-fuelled cargo ships.
Santa Barbara
Crisp and sweet, Santa Barbara delivers a cup with clarity and composure. Washed processing brings forward tasting notes of damson, Gala apple and brown sugar, perfectly rounded for neat espresso or black coffee drinks.
Produced by the Ocampo family in the hills of Caldas, Colombia, Santa Barbara is one of several coffees we are proud to share from this progressive and innovative family-run farm throughout the year. Regenerative practices, from agroforestry to water conservation and soil restoration, are embedded as a long-term approach to strengthening the land and supporting the community, while ongoing experimentation and refinement continue to elevate cup quality. A purpose-led, people-centred philosophy grounds every stage of production at Santa Barbara, and we are excited to bring their coffee, and ethos, to life in our new capsule format.
Atlas Decaf
Atlas is a balanced, naturally sweet and approachable coffee. Decaffeinated using a natural sugarcane process, we wanted to ensure our decaf delivers full-bodied, versatile flavour without compromise.
Our Atlas Decaf presents a wider story of collective empowerment and long-term investment in women coffee producers across Colombia. Established in 2022 by our Director of Coffee, the Atlas programme was created to support women producers by providing access to new markets, paying above-market premiums, and building direct-trade relationships regardless of farm size. Women make up a significant proportion of the global coffee industry, yet face limited access to resources, ownership opportunities and financial security. Atlas was designed to combat these difficulties, creating a platform that supports and advocates for the role of women in coffee production.
Shipped by Sail
In 2024, we launched our Shipped by Sail initiative to address one of the carbon reduction challenges in the coffee industry: international transportation. The project involves using wind-powered vessels to reduce the impact of transatlantic freight, and we’re proud that Três Meninas is one of the coffees transported in this way this year.
What began with one coffee has since grown alongside our commitment to environmental consideration at every stage of the coffee’s journey, recognising that how coffee is moved is as important as how it is grown, processed, and roasted.
Roasted, Ground and Packed in Cornwall
Possibly the most defining part of the new range is how our new capsules are produced. Now roasted, ground and packed entirely in-house in Cornwall, every stage of production is now guided by the same expert team and industry-leading equipment behind our wider coffee programme.
By consolidating production in this way, the time between roasting and packaging is reduced from weeks to days, resulting in a more consistent brewing experience and noticeably fresher flavour in the cup.
Brew With Confidence
To get the most out of your capsules, we recommend brewing with Morning capsule machines.
The Morning Machine brings a more considered approach to capsule brewing, retaining the convenience of a simple, one-touch system while introducing the technical control associated with speciality coffee. Adjustable pressure profiles and temperature settings allow for a more precise extraction, giving each coffee the potential to express its full clarity and character. These customisable features also create space for experimentation, offering the flexibility to refine and personalise your brewing approach.
100% Home Compostable
Every stage of our capsule lifecycle has been considered, including what happens after brewing. Made from plant-based materials, our capsules are designed to break down naturally in a domestic compost environment. Once used, they can be placed straight into your home compost.
