Whether it’s the history and heritage surrounding the alleged birthplace of coffee, or the cup-quality and exceptionally unique profile characteristics; there is just something special about Ethiopian coffee.
Ethiopia is widely considered by many as the birthplace of coffee. Whilst its coffee industry is steeped in history and tradition, it is also intertwined with tall tales and stories too. Quite how the coffee plant was discovered may never be fully confirmed. Despite this, one thing is clear. The country produces exceptional coffee. In particular, the Yirgacheffe region has one of the most recognisable flavours in the world, often producing an extremely delicate and floral cup profile.
